In spite of this, her spirit remains unbroken. She's been having regular physical therapy and can now use her arms to perform her daily tasks although she has no function in her hands and fingers. And guess what? Her fiance didn't run away: they still plan to get married soon even though they haven't set a new date. In addition, she has forgiven the friend and has refused to reveal her identity.
If I were in her shoes, I don't know if I'd have this much courage to move on and I really admire her. Could I forgive someone who I think has changed my destiny so drastically? I really don't know how easy that would be. I thank God for my life and all the blessings he has given me. I will not complain about the things that I wish I could have but have eluded me.
So, today as Americans celebrate Thanksgiving, remember to thank God for all He has done and will continue to do for you. "Sit down and count your blessings and name them one by one and it will surprise you what the Lord has done".
Thank God for your family and take time to forgive people who you might have wronged you in the past no matter how big you think it is: when you forgive others who have hurt you, God also forgives your wrongs.
